...or a simple solution without a significant UI change would be to add a tooltip showing the cycle number to the cycle name column.
Note that it is possible to see the cycle number without a click by hovering over either the Missing Reports or Stats icons on a cycle row - the browser's link preview (normally at the bottom left of the screen) will show you a link containing "?id=" followed by the cycle number.
