Currently, when a homeroom teacher opens the Leave Request module, leave requests do not appear automatically. Teachers must click “Show All” to view submitted requests. However, selecting this option displays all leave requests across the school, rather than only those relevant to the teacher’s assigned class or homeroom.
To improveefficiency, we would like to suggest the following enhancements:
Default Homeroom-Based View
Each homeroom teacher should only see leave requests submitted by students in their assigned class or homeroom by default.
Role-Based “Show All” Access
The “Show All” option could be restricted to specific roles such as School Coordinators, Administrators, or other authorized staff who require a school-wide overview.
Optional Filter Column (Alternative Solution)
Alternatively, a filter column (e.g. Class / Homeroom) could be added so teachers can easily filter and view only their relevant students, while maintaining broader visibility for coordinators when needed.
Implementing this enhancement would significantly reduce confusion, prevent information overload, and streamline the approval process for teachers.
