There are two dates associated with pupils when they are added to detentions. One date reflects when the details of that detention have been updated and the other date reflects when that detention was authorised.
To authorise/de-authorise detentions, you bring up the whole list of pupils who have been added to that detention. When you save the list of authorised pupils, all pupils who have been authorised have their authorisation date updated even if they were already authorised. We therefore cannot use the authorisation date to check when a pupil was authorised (since that date is constantly updated whenever the save button is clicked).
It would be great if the authorisation date functioned properly for audit trail purposes and reflected when that individual pupil was authorised for the detention.
Further, although it is great to be able to authorise for detention several pupils at once, it would be great if the interface also allowed you to click directly against a pupil's name to authorise just that one pupil
