Description:
We would like to request an enhancement to the Fire Register feature in iSAMS, specifically, the ability to sort the list of student names alphabetically by First Name instead of only by Surname.
Currently, the Fire Register automatically sorts names by surname. However, in our region (Middle East), many surnames begin with “Al,” which results in a large portion of the list being grouped under the same letter. This makes it challenging for teachers and staff to quickly locate specific students during fire drills or emergency situations.
Allowing the list to be sorted by First Name (or giving users the option to toggle between sorting by First Name or Surname) would greatly improve accessibility and efficiency during emergency roll calls.

We believe this small adjustment would significantly enhance the usability of the Fire Register for many international schools using iSAMS.
Suggested Implementation:
Add a dropdown or toggle option in the Fire Register settings that allows users to select the preferred sorting order:
Sort by Surname (default)
Sort by First Name
